School and Homeschool Curriculum (Christian)

Most of the people I know use A Beka or Bob Jones. Those are probably two of the best choices for Christian Homeschooling. Some people like to pick and choose from different programs. There are now options for online schools, and also schools with dvds, usb drives, digital downloads, and satellite. If you have a Christian school, A Beka or Bob Jones are good choices. Some schools that focus on a self learning program use Accelerated Christian Education. Easy Peasy is good if you want free curriculum. Some of these below I am not familiar with.

A Beka Academy

A Beka Academy is an accredited, comprehensive distance-learning program for kindergarten through grade 12. This academically, challenging, college preparatory education features high-quality video instruction and uses Christian character-building textbooks from A Beka Book. A Beka Academy desires that their students will be spiritually and academically competent as they progress through elementary and high school and will be prepared for college level studies upon graduation.

A Beka Book

A Beka Book is where students of A Beka Academy shop their textbooks. A Beka Book offers printed, as well as downloadable textbooks from preschool to high school. Books for all subjects are available and never run out of stock.

Accelerated Christian Education

In Accelerated Christian Education, you will get more than an organization that just sells curriculum. You will also get a Christian team of professionals who are committed to support all your educational needs. I had two friends that tried this but eventually went back to Abeka or Bob Jones.

Easy Peasy All-In-One Homeschool

Easy Peasy is not an online school but a homeschool resource. It offers free Christian homeschool curriculum from preschool to high school.

Alpha Omega Publications

Apologia Educational Ministries

Apologia Educational Ministries is the number one publisher of creation-based science and Bible curriculum with more than fifty top awards from homeschool parents and media. Boerne Area Christian Homeschoolers (BACH)

BACH is a Christ-centered support group that uses the Bible to provide the basis and standard of truth and values. Their goal is the development of Christian character and the promotion of academic excellence in children. BACH requires an annual membership fee but also awards scholarships for families that need it.

BJU Press

BJU Press is a publisher of textbooks and video lessons for homeschool families. They create materials that help parents deliver an education that is based on sound educational principles, inspires a joy in learning, and is rooted in a solid biblical worldview.

BJU Press Curriculum

BJU Press Homeschool Curriculum provides homeschool families with easy-to-implement, rigorous, and biblically-centered textbooks for grades Prekinder-12. You can shop for their curriculm at Christianbook's online store.

Bright Ideas Press

Bright Ideas Press publishes Christian-oriented curriculum that will fit into the hectic lives of homeschooling moms. Their curriculum is affordable, easy-to-use, and suitable for different ages.

Christian Academy of America

CHEC offers Christian homeschooling program in Colorado. They have served homeschoolers in Colorado through conferences, seminars, resources, legal work, and more.

Christian Home Educators of Ohio (CHEO)

CHEO is a non-profit organization that supports, equips and protects families in the home education of their chidren. They inform and educate families about homeschooling through sponsored seminars and regional events.

Christian Homeschool Connection

Christian Homeschool Connection is a network that exists to support Christian homeschool families in Champaign-Urbana and surrounding communities. Their main purpose is to build community among homeschooling families, enable them to support each other through field trips and social acivities, faciliate contact between new and veteran homeschoolers, and provide a forum for the exchange of teaching techniques and curriculum ideas.

Christian Homeschoolers of Idaho State

Homeschool Idaho

CHOIS exists to inspire parents to educate their children at home, to promote parent-led, family-funded, relationship-based home education, and to preserve homeschool freedoms. They are a non-profit organization committed to encouraging families who choose to homeschool their children.

Christian Light Education

Christian Light Education is a complete curriculum from grades 1 through 12, including teacher material, support items, and an extensive line of high school electives. They produce academically and morally sound materials that adhere to biblical fundamentals.

Classical Conversations

Classical Conversations supports homeschooling parents by cultivating the love of learning through a Christian worldview in fellowship with other families. They believe in three keys to a great education: classical, Christian, and community.

Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA)

HSLDA publishes a list of homeschool curricula, programs, and schools on their website. HSLDA offers legal services to the homeschooling community.


Konos is a biblically-based unit studies curriculum for homeschool use. The curriculum features: godly character trait focus; units with all subjects integrated; hands-on, experiential activities; discovery learning, and; multi-level, family teaching.

Liberty University Online Academy

Liberty University Online Academy believes that Christian education is important. With that, they present Christ in all their classes and the Bible is the basis for their instruction. Liberty University Online Academy not only offers academic subjects for homeschooling children from grades K-12, but they also incorporate the Bible in their curriculum or program.


Lighthouse is an association of Christian homeschooling families in the Wake Forest/Youngsville area. They offer encouragement and support to families with homeschooling children. They provide opportunities to homeschooling children to participate in large and small group activities for academic, social and character building purposes. In all their activities, programs and events, they always put Christ at the center.

My Father's World

My Father's World brings proven teaching methods of Charlotte Mason to life by incorporating key elements of her educational philosophy into their curriculum.
